Winter Activities for Stonehurst Manor Guests
Welcome to Ski Country
North Conway is among the top 25 ski towns in the world according to National Geographic and rated the number one best value ski destination in the Northeast by Trip Advisor in 2011 and 2012. This area offers 13 ski resorts and XC Centers all within a 30-minute drive from the Manor. More than 300 trails and glades to ski and ride and over 450 km of cross country trails to explore on skis or snowshoes. Cranmore Mountain is just 2 miles away and Manor guests have doorstep access to the 45 km network of trails maintained by the Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring and Snowshoe Foundation.
If you are not a skier, there are still plenty of other winter activities to enjoy.
Fly through the air on a zipline at Cranmore or down the slopes on the Mountain Coasters at Attitash and Cranmore. Travel the Mt. Washington Auto Road aboard their SnowCoach to above treeline for a truly unique winter experience. Snow tubing is available at Cranmore and Great Glen Trails. Grab your snowshoes and explore the almost 800,000 acre White Mountain National Forest or rent a pair and explore the trails of a nearby Nordic center. Ice skating is available either indoors or out. You can also travel the trails on horseback, in a horse-drawn sleigh, on a snowmobile or dogsled. Many of these activities are available to Manor guests FREE or at a discount!
