Horseback Riding

Your horse is saddled and ready to go! The stables at The Farm by the River offer another great way to explore the Mt. Washington Valley. Their stable is located three miles from the Stonehurst Manor and is home to 18 resident horses. Ride the trails on this family estate which dates back to 1771.

Riders will enjoy panoramic mountain views of Mt. Cranmore, Kearsarge, nine miles of the Moat Mountain range, Cathedral and White Horse Ledges. The trail ride winds through meadows and mixed maple and evergreen forest, and along the Saco River. The horses are selected for soundness and good temperament and are cared for and trained by experienced wranglers all year round.
