Ride the Conway Scenic RailroadTravel on the Conway Scenic Railroad’s Valley Train, one of their nostalgic train rides departing from the historic station on Schouler Park in the heart of North Conway Village. This 11-mile, 55-minute roundtrip Conway excursion is ideal for visitors who want to experience the enjoyment of a “shorter” train ride. Travel south past some of the area’s farmlands, crossing Moat Brook and the Saco and Swift Rivers enroute to Conway where you can watch the powerful locomotive “run-around” the train in preparation for the return trip. Experience the excitement of rail travel in the comfort of open or enclosed restored passenger cars of the Valley train powered by diesel electric locomotives. During late July through Labor Day weekend and late September through mid-October, the steam locomotive is scheduled to provide the motive power for this excursion. Sherman Farm Fall Corn MazeMake your way through the 12-acre corn maize located 15 minutes away at Sherman Farm in East Conway, New Hampshire (click for directions). This maize consists of nearly 500,000 corn plants which will be harvested for silage once the event ends on Halloween. The 2013 event begins mid-September and will be open on Saturdays and Sundays, ending on Halloween, October 31st. Hours are 10am to 5pm except the last five days which will close at 4pm. Admission: 2013 Rates will be Added as soon as they are announced. Tickets will be available at our Front Desk. |
