This time of year, it is hard to know whether the sun will shine or the snow will fall to the ground. The Stonehurst Manor in the North Conway Village is the best place to either warm up or cool down when the weather is playing tricks on us. In the springtime, there are four available golf courses in the Valley, miles of cycling routes to explore the White Mountains and many fabulous picnic spots. We had such a great time ringing in the New Year here at the Stonehurst Manor with our delicious sit down dinner, but as we welcome 2011, we are also toasting to a great 2010 as well! There are so many reasons to vacation in the Mt. Washington Valley and the Stonehurst Manor and our wonderful amenities is a great reason to! Book a room with us to experience the magic of a vacation in our turn of the century mansion in our beautifully decorated rooms surrounded by gorgeous mountains and scenery!
In the past year to enhance every guest’s vacation we have redecorated the second and third floor of our Manor with new carpeting, which has put a new shine on the Manor. We have also added a great new children’s menu complete with wood-fired pizza, Slow-Roasted Prime Rib and homemade Macaroni and Cheese.
We are also very excited about Library Lounge opening up for Saturday and Sunday’s and during vacation weeks. It’s a wonderful treat to sit by our fireplace and enjoy our lounge menu of signature drinks, Caesar salad, cheese fondue, smoked Salmon plate and basket of Yukon chips among other things!
Our holidays were booked for dinner and all of our rooms were full so this must mean we are doing something right and we want to share it with you! The skiing is great 6 miles North of us and to the West and there is no better reason to come visit us. Enjoy a ski and stay weekend or vacation with us and take advantage of all we have to offer!

Come have fun with us at the Manor and support a wonderful cause. We are gearing up for this year’s Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring Chocolate Festival held the last Sunday of February. We are one of a number of inns along the cross country trail system that participate in this wonderful fund raising event. Book a room and ski and stay with us for this special weekend! After you have traversed through the woods and had your share of chocolate, you can rest in front of our fireplace in the lounge with a cocktail!
Starting at 10:00, guests are sent out on the trail system to visit each of the participating inns for a delicious chocolate treat. We are number 6 on the MWV Ski Touring Association’s map, so you could take off right from our door! Each inn on the map will stamp your card and once you have completed the entire card, you can turn it in for a final chocolate treat. We know that Chef Davis and his talented staff are whipping up something sweet and delicious and are sure other inns are as well!
The Mt. Washington Valley Ski Touring Association is a non-profit organization. The Chocolate Festival is the only fund-raising event we have. in order to maintain the extensive trail system, the ski patrols, and the groomers. Many of you love to Nordic Ski and this is a fun event to participate in to ensure all of your favorite trails are able to stay open for the Winter Season!
