Choose the Perfect Setting

In many ways, choosing the perfect location for a proposal is just as important as getting the timing right. Many premier NH hotels can offer the perfect location to take a special moment and turn it into a unique memory to share for years to come. For instance, Stonehurst Manor provides breathtaking winter scenery that can only be found in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Christmas at Stonehurst also means delicious food and vintage Christmas decorations that span back as far as two hundred years. A newly engaged couple can has many Christmases to look forward to, but picking the right setting for the Christmas proposal can be one of the most memorable nights, and perhaps create a tradition for years to come.

Plan Every Detail

In order to make sure your proposal goes smoothly, you do not want to leave anything up to chance. Make sure you know in advance exactly when and where you want to propose. Keep in mind that this moment will be one that the two of you will look back on for the rest of your lives, so you want to make sure it goes perfectly. If you have any special requests that you feel might help you celebrate your love and make the night extra memorable, the staff at Stonehurst Manor would be happy to help.

Also, think about what winter activities you might want to plan before and after your proposal to make the night even more special. A horse-drawn carriage ride through the 70-acre family estate at the Farm by the River can be the perfect ending to your romantic night together.

Speak from the Heart

In the end, your Christmas Eve proposal is all about finding the right way to say the things you feel, which will make the proposal unique to your relationship. Proposing at Stonehurst Manor can provide the setting, accommodations and activities to inspire a heartfelt sentiment, and a lifelong memory.

These are great tips (although I generally don’t recommend tying a proposal to a major holiday because you wind up diluting the proposal since there’s a major occasion occurring), but there are a ton of other things to consider.
