After a long winter, when warm weather arrives, it is time to play outside!
Hike or bike the endless miles of trails through the White Mountain National Forest. Golf over 150 scenic holes. Paddle, float or fish local mountain streams or just relax on a rock in the river with your picnic.  There is lots to do and we offer North Conway hotel deals for a number of area activities.

Mountain Discounts -

Discount vouchers are available at the front desk for tons of fun at the area mountains with savings up to $9 per person. The best way to view our area is from the top of a mountain. The view from Mt. Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast at 6,288′, offers views to the Maine coast, Vermont, and Canada on a clear day!

Area mountains that are popular with skiers and snowboarders in the winter months now offer a variety of activities for all ages for more fun than you can fit into one day. Take on the best NH hiking around Stonehurst Manor.

Mt. Washington Auto Road -

The oldest man-made attraction in the country is known world-wide for their “Ride to the Sky”. Travel the 7.6 mile ascent from the base Pinkham Notch to the summit of Mt. Washington. Leave the driving to them with a two-hour guided North Conway hiking tours complete with narration, history, and a bit of humor. You can also drive yourself, and take your dog, if you’d like the adventure and more time to explore the summit and mountain trails. Share this experience with everyone when you get your “This Car Climbed Mt. Washington” sticker!

Cranmore Mountain -

The closest mountain to the Manor at only 1.5 miles away. Their Adventure Park Value Pass voucher will be exchanged at the mountain for a day of unlimited use of their Mountain Coaster (pictured above left), Giant Swing, Summer Tubing, Summer Chairlift, Spider Climb, Bungy Trampoline, Bouncy Houses, Climbing Wall, Continuous Belay and Soaring Eagle Zip Line. Their Aerial Adventure Park, an aerial forest ropes course, is NOT included but an upgrade at the mountain is available.

This is a great addition to any family staying in the Stonehurst Vacation Rentals. Take a break midday to return for lunch and a nap then head back for an afternoon of fun.

Vacation Tip: Start after 3 pm and tomorrow is FREE! Stretch your dollars by arriving at Cranmore after 3 pm and return to enjoy a full day the next day at no additional cost.

Ride the Train -

For an old-fashioned railroading experience, ride the rails of the Conway Scenic Railroad on your choice of trains for less! All depart from the Victorian station in the heart of North Conway Village just 2 miles from the Manor. The Notch Train to Crawford Notch travels tracks laid in the 1870s and offers the most dramatic scenery of all 

Horseback Riding -

Ride the trails of a family estate dating back to 1771.  Your hour trail ride will give you a new look at Mt. Cranmore, Kearsarge, nine miles of the Moat Mountain range, Cathedral and White Horse Ledges.  Discounted horseback riding at the Farm by the River is only 3 miles from the Manor.

Fly Fishing -

Hire a guide and learn to fly fish, brush up on your casting skills or learn the best spots to fish the Saco River, one of the top rivers to fly fish in the Northeast, which is only a few miles from the Manor.  Start your day with our Fly Fisherman & Eggs breakfast at the Manor featuring cornmeal crusted boneless rainbow trout with eggs, baked beans, home fried potatoes and toasted artisan bread.  Much better than roughing it by the camp fire! 

Canoeing -

The Saco River, just minutes from the Manor, is one of the most popular recreational rivers in the United States. Rent a canoe, kayak or tube or choose from three different day trips ranging from 3 miles to 10.2 miles including canoe rental, parking and return shuttle.  Your dog can join you for no additional cost.
