For more physical activity, try kayaking or canoeing on the Saco River. Northern Extremes Canoe & Kayak in the Dunkin Donuts Plaza on White Mountain Highway has day trips from three miles to seven miles long. Shuttle service is available.
To really get away from it all, try out your rock climbing skills on popular Cathedral Ledge or White Horse Ledge in the White Mountains National Forest. Or just hike the many trails of this scenic 60-acre state park.
This May, visit the Gibson Center Craft Fair where local artisans display their handiwork on the lawn of the Gibson Center on Grove Street in North Conway.
Cheer for the Mountain Meisters as they ski their way down Cranmore Mountain during late February and early March. Individuals and teams vie for their chance to win division championships and best team awards. You can even register to join the race competition for less than $9 per day.
