End of Summer Getaways
With autumn spreading its chill through the air, many of us are looking for an escape to a place with better weather or amazing trees. The end of summer and beginning of fall is one of the best times to take a vacation to a new place. Here are some vacation ideas that would be ideal either for a couple or for a family:
I realize that Utah might not be on the top of everybody’s dream vacation destinations, but southern Utah is amazing. The scenic red rock gives you the opportunity to do pretty much anything that you want, outdoors. The weather in southern Utah, even this late in the season, is still great, and there are so many great places to visit. Zions National Park and Bryce Canyon are a few great places to see. You can also go boating in one of the best places to water ski, Lake Powell. Mountain biking, Jeep safaris and rock climbing are other popular activities in Utah’s Dixie.
Beautiful Bend, Oregon is another great place to visit, on the fringe of summer and fall. It’s not a typical tourist hot spot, which can make it appealing to some, but there are still a lot of great activities for everyone. Rock climbing and hiking in the Cascade Mountains always provides great views and even better memories. There are lots of great golf courses to choose from and excellent fly fishing, as well. You won’t regret taking your trip to the beautiful pacific northwest.
North Conway, New Hampshire
One of the gems of the northeast, North Conway is an amazing town encircled by some of the best scenery in all of New England. Surrounded by the White Mountains, North Conway is a great place to enjoy the outdoors including hundreds of scenic hikes in the Appalachian Mountains. If you’re looking for a place to stay, Stonehurst Manor is the perfect spot. There is a heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi, so that you can have fun in the water no matter what time of year it is.
There are so many appealing factors of going to the Bahamas, especially during this time of the year. Your body is still adjusting to the dropping temperatures, and escaping to the white, sandy beaches of Nassau can be the cure that you need. The Bahamas are a lot closer than people think they are. You don’t need a passport to go there, and it’s a lot cheaper than many other island destinations. You can go snorkeling, boating and participate in any other water or beach sport that you’d like. Enjoy the capital of the Bahamas, and escape falls chill.
There are plenty of other ways to enjoy fall, other than raking leaves and watching football. Get out and enjoy a different place in the world. Go to a new place, try out some new activities and have a great end of summer getaway.
